Swann Lake Stables is located on the outskirts of Cahaba Heights in Birmingham, AL at 4291 Sicard Hollow Road. This venue is one of Birmingham’s hidden treasures. Swann Lake Stables was built in 2004 by the current owners.

Swann Lake Stables is available for a limited number of weddings and corporate events. The property is resting on acres of land while located near restaurants, shopping and hotels, Swann Lake Stables gives you the feel of the country and the convenience of the city. The upper barn features 4 rustic stalls, an indoor balcony, grand room with built in bar area with iron chandelier, a stone patio that wraps completely around one side of the stables with a grand stone fireplace and a huge manicured grass lawn. The property also has various outdoor options for event photos along the beautiful Little Cahaba River.

Swann Lake is a private residence and can be toured in person by appointment only via email at SwannLakeStables@gmail.com. However, please feel free to explore the stables, property and past events through our website and visit the “Contact” page to schedule your visit.

The property was originally owned by the famous Theodore Swann, a local business man in Birmingham, AL that struck it rich in the 1920s and also built the Swann House (aka Swann Castle) at the base of Red Mountain. Theodore Swann originally constructed a barn where the current stables are, but it fell into disrepair and was destroyed. The current owners Alex and Marjorie Jones built Swann Lake Stables in 2004 as a horse boarding facility and later converted into an event venue.  The owners believe that God created and designed marriage to be between a man and a woman, therefore Swann Lake Stables does not allow same sex marriages on the property. All guests are welcome to attend.
